The technologically sophisticated Bio-Burner holds the liquid höfats bioethanol inside and allows the striking flame to rise like a sculpture. The warmth of the fire spectacle can be enjoyed in a stable, odourless and smoke-free manner. With the Eco-Ring you can even double the burning time and should the evening come to an end before the flame has gone out, the fire can be completely and safely extinguished with the included lid.

All you have to do now is to switch over to the höfats liquid bioethanol fuel. The new Bio-Burner 900 | 1200 runs exclusively on liquid fuel and burns up to 33% longer than the previous model - using the same amount of bioethanol.

How is the distinctive flame whirl created?
The fascinating fire whirl is no coincidence – but the result of sophisticated physics and precise design. Here’s how it works:
- höfats bioethanol is ignited – clean, safe and odourless.
- The heat-resistant borosilicate glass cylinder is placed on the burner.
- The wings of the rotor set the incoming air into a rotating motion.
- This motion is transferred to the flame.
- The resulting thermals and the updraft in the glass amplify the effect. The so-called chimney effect occurs.
The result: The flame grows more than 500% in height – a safe, enclosed fire whirl extending over the entire length of the cylinder. And all this without any additional energy!
Can I hang up the hanging fire straight after delivery?
Yes, our SPIN hanging fire always comes with a ring screw and wall plug, so you can set it up and hang it straight away.
Can I also use the hanging fire as a tabletop fire?
Yes, if you want to use your hanging fire as a tabletop fire, you can purchase the SPIN Base (the stand) separately in the matching size and colour. Instead of the suspension, the base is screwed onto the SPIN, instantly transforming it into a tabletop fire. You’ll find the bases in our spare parts section:
Is the hanging fire also available for the SPIN 1500?
There is currently no dedicated hanging fire set for the SPIN 1500, as with the SPIN 900 or SPIN 1200. However, we do offer a hanging system as an accessory for the SPIN 1500, allowing it to be used as a hanging fire as well. You’ll find the hanging system for the SPIN 1500 in the SPIN 1500 accessories section :
What clearance should I keep from the ceiling?
We recommend a minimum distance of at least 60 cm on all sides – including upwards. Downwards, SPIN emits no heat. The only exception is the SPIN 1500: when used with the hanging system, a minimum distance of at least 80 cm must be kept all around.
Can I upgrade my SPIN 90 | 120 hanging fire to a SPIN 900 | 1200 by purchasing the Bio-Burner?
Yes, by purchasing the Bio-Burner and using höfats liquid bioethanol, you can insert it instead of the gel container. This automatically upgrades your SPIN 90 | 120 to a SPIN 900 | 1200.
How should I store my SPIN hanging fire?
The SPIN hanging fire is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. If you use it outdoors, we recommend taking it down and storing it indoors when not in use or in bad weather to protect the glass and metal in the long term. In general, for all our SPINs, we recommend indoor storage to increase longevity.
