CIRCLE QUICK START GUIDE

Congratulations on your CIRCLE!

With it, real fire moves into your home, bringing together shared moments, great taste and unforgettable experiences. CIRCLE creates new space for fire in our modern lifestyles, indoors and outdoors.

This guide will help you get started right away. However, it does not replace the operating instructions, which you should read carefully before use.

Make it come full circle and let’s CIRCLE!

Modular enjoyment with CIRCLE

CIRCLE has a modular design. Before every CIRCLE session, you decide what kind of cooking together takes centre stage: classic fondue, creamy cheese fondue or flavourful one-pot dishes from the cast-iron pot.

No matter how excited you are to get started or how much experience you already have with fire:

  • Follow the assembly instructions carefully
  • Securely fasten all elements together before lighting
  • Place CIRCLE on a safe and level surface

How do I fill CIRCLE?

WATCH VIDEO

STEP 1

Use the handle to remove the burner from the base for filling.

STEP 2

Place the burner on a level, stable surface, open the fuel cap and fill the burner with max. 650 ml of höfats Liquid Bioethanol (green cap).

STEP 3

Close the fuel cap and immediately wipe away any spilled bioethanol from the burner and the surrounding surface.

STEP 4

Place the burner back into the base and then wash your hands thoroughly with soap.

It’s all about the fuel!

To ensure the perfect CIRCLE experience, please use only höfats Liquid Bioethanol (with green cap).

Only then can we guarantee that the fuel burns odour-free and smoke-free, allowing you to use CIRCLE indoors as well.

How do I light CIRCLE?

STEP 1

Place CIRCLE securely and remove the wick caps from the wicks if they are attached.

STEP 2

Light CIRCLE using a long lighter through the cut-out flame openings.

STEP 3

Let the pot preheat for about 5–10 minutes before you start cooking.

Before using CIRCLE for the first time, the wicks need to be burned in once:

  • Fill with approx. 100 ml of höfats liquid bioethanol.
  • Light CIRCLE and let it burn until the flames go out on their own (approx. 20 minutes).
  • This allows the wicks to condition properly and ensures that CIRCLE delivers its full performance right from the start.
  • The tips of the wicks may discolour slightly during this process – this is completely normal.
  • If you burn in CIRCLE indoors, always ensure adequate ventilation.

Make sure to check the following points before lighting CIRCLE:

  • The rotary ring is turned fully down for maximum flame height.
  • At least 100 ml of höfats Liquid Bioethanol has been filled in.
  • CIRCLE is securely placed in the desired location and will not be moved after lighting.
  • When used outdoors, CIRCLE is placed in a wind-protected area for optimal heat.
  • When used indoors, the room is ventilated regularly.
  • The pot is sufficiently preheated before adding the ingredients.

Cooking with CIRCLE

The cast-iron pot retains heat particularly well, ensuring even heat while cooking. This keeps broth, oil and other dishes reliably at the right temperature, so you can relax and enjoy them together.

  • Even heat for broth, oil and more
  • Continuously adjustable flame height using the control ring
  • Up to 2 hours of burn time at maximum flame height and up to 4 hours at medium flame height (with 650 ml of höfats bioethanol)

The ideal heat for your fondue

In addition to the flame height, the temperature can also be controlled by adjusting the number of burning flames. For the best results, we recommend the following depending on the type of preparation:

  • Classic fondue with broth or oil: 6 flames
  • Cheese fondue: Initially heat with 6 flames, then keep warm with 3 flames
  • Chocolate fondue: Melt in a bain-marie in the cast-iron pot using 1–2 flames, stirring constantly

How do I extinguish CIRCLE?

STEP 1

Place the flame extinguisher flat on top and position the metal tip at the flame opening beneath the glass cylinder.

STEP 2

Squeeze the flame extinguisher and use the airflow to extinguish the flame.

STEP 3

Wait until CIRCLE has completely cooled down before lighting or moving it again.

STEP 4

If necessary, empty any remaining fuel from the burner and place the wick caps onto the completely cooled wick tubes.

How do I clean CIRCLE?

Cleaning the pot

  • Clean the pot after every use while it is still warm
  • Use a mild detergent and a soft sponge
  • Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners
  • The lid, splash guard and fondue forks with plastic handles are dishwasher-safe
  • The pot and cheese fondue forks with wooden handles are not dishwasher-safe

Cleaning the burner

  • Clean the exterior with a damp cloth and avoid the wick tubes
  • Do not hold under water or place in the dishwasher

Disposing of bioethanol

  • Empty any remaining bioethanol after it has cooled down
  • Dispose of it according to local regulations

FAQ

My CIRCLE won’t light. What can I do?

Please check whether you have filled in the correct bioethanol (höfats Liquid Bioethanol with green cap), removed the wick caps and fully turned down the rotary ring (maximum flame size). Use a lighter with a large flame, not a jet or windproof lighter.

The flame of my CIRCLE goes out. What can I do?

When the bioethanol has completely burned off, the flames of CIRCLE will go out one after another. Before refilling with new bioethanol, please allow CIRCLE to cool down completely.

How can I reduce odours when cooking or having fondue indoors?

For cooking and oil fondue, use an oil with a high smoke point, such as rapeseed oil, peanut oil or avocado oil.

My CIRCLE does not generate enough heat. What can I do?

You can use the control ring to continuously adjust the flame height and therefore the heat of the cast-iron pot. For maximum heat, turn the ring all the way up. To reduce the heat, you can also extinguish individual flames.

Is the pot free from PFAS?

Yes. The cast-iron pot and all other CIRCLE grill products are free from per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
