This is how you use MOON with and without the ash tray extension:
1. Filling with fresh pellets
Fill the MOON fire basket with pellets until they are just below the circle of holes. The extended ash tray will enclose about half of the pellets. Now you can ignite the fire as usual.

2. After 2 hours of smoke-free fire
The burned pellets collect on the ash tray and are securely enclosed by the extension ring.

The burned pellets collect on the ash tray. They can only be removed once they have cooled down. Until then, the fire remains out.
3. Easy emptying and relighting the fire
With the lifter, you can safely remove the ash tray along with the remaining pellet residue from the fire basket. After properly emptying it (or swapping with a second ash tray), the MOON can be refilled right away – and the fire evening can continue.
3. Continue firing after about 4 hours
The hot pellets cannot be removed directly after the fire. Wait about 4 hours until they have fully cooled down and disintegrated. Then, you can remove the ash tray using the vertical handle and a glove, empty it, and refill the MOON for the next fire.
