A SUMMER FULL OF POSSIBILITIES

No distance is too far

We love travel, primarily in our camper van, and we have always been on the road quite often. Sometimes spontaneously off to Corsica or all the way up to Scotland. No distance was too far, no journey too long, and we never had a lot of luggage along. When kids came along, a few things changed: The routes traveled became shorter, and a lot more luggage had to be packed in. But we still as always want to be out adventuring together, planning travels spontaneously even with the children. Right now, exploring our own area in the Allgäu has replaced faraway places. And we get to discover some areas we didn’t know. You don’t need a lot to have an totally perfect, relaxed day.
Es braucht ja auch nicht viel um einen perfekten und vor allem entspannten Tag zu haben.

On warm summer days

Our T2 van is already built-out, equipped, ready to go. Inside is of course basically everything you need for a road trip. Before we are ready to head out, though, we need a few special things (and fresh diapers) and usually a fridge already half-full. That could be the most important thing when you have kidsalong because growling tummies can spoil good moods. We love to visit some of the many lakes and ponds in Allgäu on warm summer days. While the kids are splashing in the water or playing in the sand – yes, there are indeed a few sandy beaches here – we can enjoy relaxing in the sunshine. Surrounded by wind playing in the trees and the sound of clanging cowbells (and the splish-splash of a water-loving lab).

There is so much to discover

It doesn’t normally take long as a rule for someone to suddenly be thirsty or hungry. Since there are not a lot of public grills and firepits, we always have our own equipment along. Our Bowl from Höfats is our best companion – large enough to provide for 4 hungry tummies, while the wire base means no danger of the ground catching fire. Fire it up, pop on a few veggies and grilling cheese, and it’s not long until the sizzling is enticing a hungry pack. Reinvigorated, we can head out on a little exploration of the area. Before, we always thought that adventures were to be experienced in faraway places, but excursions with the kids have taught us otherwise. Now, we can find adventure behind every tree, under any stone, and in deep grasses. There is so much to discover when you really look around. Back on the bus, we nestle in, set up where we will bunk down with a lot of blankets and pillows, and enjoy our time together around the fire.

ROADTYPING

Under the starry sky, alongside mountain lakes, and as companions on road trips with a VW van, products reveal their own tales. We are Roadtyping, collectively; singularly, Franziska and Marius, with son Leo, and Lotta the Labrador. Every spare minute we are out and about in our camper van, meaning every Roadtyping product is a very special part of our journey.

Our base camp and home is in Germany’s Allgäu region, which is an ideal post for heading off to adventures in any and all directions.
